Outreach

Program Established:

2007

Purpose of Program

The Lift Up Carolinas Outreach Program partners with local 501(c)(3) organizations to provide essential goods that meet urgent community needs. By redistributing items that cannot be sold in the Thrift Shop but are still of high quality, Outreach extends the life of donated goods and maximizes their impact.

How We Help

Redistributing Goods Where They’re Needed Most
Outreach ensures that gently used clothing, household items, and medical supplies are directed to trusted nonprofit partners who serve individuals and families in need.

Supporting Local Agencies
Lift Up Carolinas has supported a range of organizations through Outreach, including:

  • Assist M.E.

  • Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

  • Crisis Assistance Ministry

  • Furnish for Good

  • Humane Society of Charlotte

  • Latin American Coalition

  • MiraVia

  • St. Matthew Catholic Church

Meeting Diverse Needs
Outreach donations help these organizations offer clothing for families, household goods for individuals transitioning into permanent housing, supplies for classrooms, and more—flexibly addressing specific and timely needs.

Program Impact

Outreach allows Lift Up Carolinas to:

  • Keep excess donations out of landfills

  • Provide immediate relief to community members facing hardship

  • Strengthen the ability of partner nonprofits to fulfill their missions

Funding & Support

While Outreach does not distribute financial aid, it is powered by the same generous donations and community support that fuel our other programs. In addition, the Lift Up Carolinas Thrift Shop at 5426 Old Pineville Road offers quality goods at low prices, helping fund our overall mission while providing affordable shopping for the community.

Why It Matters

Outreach is a vital link between community generosity and real-time local need. By collaborating with other nonprofits, Lift Up Carolinas helps ensure no usable donation goes to waste and that dignity and relief are delivered to neighbors who need it most.
